My story

Like most artists, from a very early age, I loved to be creative (the walls and furniture in our house growing up were proof of that!) I was always drawing and coloring and taking every art class I possibly could in school, I even became an art major in college. But it all was missing something and as life got busier and busier with building a family, my art took a back seat for a while. Running a photography business was my main creative outlet for many years but then a huge curveball was thrown my way and I found myself in a professional oil painting class where I fell in love with the medium, the journey to it was one of divine providence! I walked away from my thriving photography business to become a religious painter.

Why religious art?

It all started one General Conference weekend. I received one of the most incredible, clear messages from Heavenly Father that I have ever had in my life. He wanted me to create religious art, something I had never considered before. After a few years of feeling uninspired about it all, the heavens finally opened again and I started to create digital paintings. I wasn’t very good and I didn’t know what I was doing but I took the leap of faith and it all started to fall into place. I then learned how to oil paint, I started to develop my skills and just shared my testimony and art everywhere I could. Art has become so much more than a career choice for me, it is a sacred calling. I strive to create images that are truly meaningful to people that help them develop their relationship with Jesus Christ on a more personal level.
